Founded in 1969 by leading suppliers to the print and graphic media industry, GAMAA was incorporated as an Association under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act in 1984.
In association with Printing Industries (PIAA) GAMAA presents the two major print and graphic media trade shows in Australia – PrintEx (Sydney) and PacPrint (Melbourne). These trade events are core activities for GAMAA and GAMAA members donate their time and expertise as active participants on the board of management for each of the trade shows.
Over the past decade GAMAA has invested heavily in the GAMAA Leadership Education Program. Continuing its commitment to the growth and future development of the Industry, in 2011 GAMAA will launch the next step in its Leadership Program – the GAMAA Grant. Details to be released in October.
In addition to the GAMAA Leadership Program the Association also sponsors various industry events and works closely with other industry associations in the pursuit of its objectives.
Biennially GAMAA members attend the GAMAA Retreat to set the objectives for the Association for the coming two years. In 2010 the GAMAA members determined to focus on the following key areas in order to work towards the mandate of creating a sustainable industry for the future.
Trade Shows– as co-presenter of PrintEx and PacPrint, GAMAA will continue to work towards presenting a trade show program that meets the changing business demands of the Printing and Graphic Media Industry
Leadership Program – building on the success of the GAMAA Leadership Education Program in 2011 the Association will launch the GAMAA Grant – details to be released in October
Sponsorship – to continue to support events and activities in the Industry that meet the sponsorship criteria of the Association
