GAMAA Education Scholarships – Applications for 2009 were closed on October 31, 2008.
GAMAA awards a number of Scholarships that span three years per person. The value of each Scholarship comprises of:
Full Scholarship
- $3,000 contribution to fees and tuition per year
- All costs associated with attending our Education workshops (both one day and residential) in Melbourne and Sydney (travel costs excluded)
Half Scholarship
- Attendance to one Workshop, either Melbourne or Sydney (travel costs excluded)
Candidate Selection
- Applications open in August each year for individuals working within the Printing, Graphics and related industries seeking to undertake business and management studies
- Selected applicants will be required to attend an interview with a selection panel
- Successful Scholarship recipients will be able to undertake the course of their choice, at the educational institute of their choice
Selection Criteria
Candidates are selected on the basis of the following criteria:
- Academic potential and success in gaining entrance to an educational institution
- Business attitude and focus
- Industry experience
- Individual and industry objectives
- Demonstrated commitment to a long term career within the industries
- Demonstrated support and "sponsorship" of employer (CEO, General Manager or Department Head)
Academic Core
Exploration of studies from Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters or other leadership programs (approved by GAMAA).

GAMAA works with the Australian Computer Society Foundation (ACSF) to administer the Scholarship. The ACS Foundation administers scholarships at major universities around Australia. Their involvement enables employer contributions for approved studies undertaken by their employees to be tax deductible.
