2006 marked the fifth year of the GAMAA Leadership Programme. One of the unique opportunities we have with our Leadership Programme is the ability to be able to quickly react to trends in the industry developing our workshop content to meet the needs of today’s managers.
Since the programme’s inception, we have gathered an extraordinary body of research and diagnostic materials that we have used to inform topics for our 2007 Leadership Workshop Programme which was announced in November. The themes for next year’s workshops reflect the concerns in the market place that a) businesses are not aligned closely enough to their own customers needs and b) those working in the industry need to further develop skills in working collaboratively to enable them to think beyond current boundaries.
The continued success of the GAMAA Leadership Programme is founded on our ability to create the content that our scholars are seeking in order to fulfill their objectives not only in their roles as managers, but also in personal growth and development; vital aspects to anyone’s working life.
Our focus on education also continues outside of our own programme. GAMAA is actively involved in the Print Skills Council and we also proudly sponsor industry events and pursuits that meet our objectives of investing in the future of our market.
GAMAA members are representative of a broad cross section of our industry and today our membership is reflective of the diversity of the marketplace. It is exciting to sit at a GAMAA meeting and hear the different experiences from those around the table. We are essentially an Association of competitive companies who all give their time, energy and considerable intelligence in fostering debate and creating solutions for the future.
