Participants Praise GAMAA Leadership Programme

The first 3-day residential workshop in the GAMAA 2007 Leadership Programme attracted a record number of participants who rated the workshop 4.8 out of 5.

Samantha Crock, GAMAA’s Education Manager said the May workshop, Building High Performance Teams, was a great success and reaffirmed that GAMAA is providing a learning opportunity that is unique in the marketplace. “Every GAMAA workshop is reviewed by the participants and May’s workshop received the highest rating to date. This is a tremendous
result and reflective of the work GAMAA has put in over the past four years to create a relevant and highly rigorous programme for the industry. No other programme offers, or provides, such an intimate environment where participants can meet, learn and discuss vital elements of their personal and professional development while connected to the industry.”

What participants had to say about the workshop:

Adrian Sheedy, Victorian Account Manager, McMillan Print Management: “I found the workshop so thought provoking that I called my boss immediately afterwards to suggest we both attend the next one in Sydney! The true underlying benefit was gaining absolute clarity that in order to improve we need to embrace change and the workshop provided focus and direction to do this.”

Andrew Cester, Director, Whirlwind Manufacturing. “The GAMAA workshop taught me what I was doing right and wrong not only within the teams I lead, but also within other environments. True leaders want to understand their weaknesses and find out ways to deal with
them. After all your biggest weaknesses are your biggest opportunities.”

Nathan Kable, Rawson Graphics: “This was my first exposure to the GAMAA workshop programme. What I found truly impressive is the commitment of the GAMAA staff to making this a worthwhile exercise, rather than lip service to an empty ideal. They show genuine belief in the goals of the Leadership Programme and the individuals in it. This was reinforced by meeting other participants of the programme, both past and present. I would highly recommend any of the workshops purely on the basis of the professionalism of the workshop and the
huge personal satisfaction I received from being apart of it.”

The next GAMAA Leadership Programme 3-day residential workshop - “Strategic Customer Focus” – will be held in Sydney from 30th August– 1 September.

Bookings are essential. The GAMAA Leadership Workshop programme is open to all working in the graphics and printing industries. For more information or to secure a place email enquire@gamaa.net.au or call (02) 9869 0010
