Alastair said the GAMAA members were excited about the 2009 show as it will offer those working in the region with a fantastic opportunity to view the latest developments for the industry.

“Everyone in the industry knows that much of what happens at Drupa sets the agenda for global trends in print, but not everyone in the industry is able to make the trip to Germany. There is considerable activity expected at Drupa next year and as a consequence we anticipate PacPrint09 will showcase a number of advancements in technology and business practices that will attract visitors from our region.” The GAMAA PacPrint09 board members are responsible, along with Printing Industries’ representatives, in overseeing all aspects of the show. “Until you’ve sat on a board like this you don’t realise how much work is involved in putting together
a major trade show. The board works very closely with Reed Exhibitions and is involved at all levels. The 2009 show will reflect what we’ve learned from past shows and the feedback given by visitors and exhibitors ensuring its relevance to the market. We look forward once again to working with Printing Industries to bring the industry another stellar show and anticipate solid support from suppliers and visitors alike,” he concluded.

GAMAA 2008 LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

PROGRAMME—BOOKINGS NOW OPEN

In 2008 the GAMAA Leadership Workshop programme will expand to feature a total of four workshops as GAMAA Education Manager Samantha Crock explains. “Each year the GAMAA Leadership programme has tailored its offer based on feedback from the industry. In 2008 we will present three one day workshops as well as a residential programme enabling those working in our industry to choose the method of delivery that best suits their individual needs.”

This year GAMAA ran its first one day workshop – Winning Negotiations –which proved highly successful with participants commenting that the one day format was easily accessible, valuable and armed them with tangible tools to take back to the work place. 2008’s programme will once again feature GAMAA’s unique blend of academic presenters and business experts providing participants with a vibrant and challenging environment in which to learn new skills that will assist them in achieving future growth – both personal and business.
