Winter 2007
In this issue of the GAMAA Update we introduce GAMAA member, AldusEngineering. We also launch the first GAMAA Leadership Programme One Day Workshop—places are limited so please secure your booking now. Aldus Engineering has been a member of GAMAA since 2001 when it purchased the Graftek company who was also a member at the time. Aldus differs from many GAMAA member companies in that we specialise in the web converting and flexographic printing sector of the industry. However it is this difference that we see as an advantage for both the Aldus staff and also GAMAA, allowing members to obtain a broader understanding of the total printing industry in Australia and also allowing our senior staff to obtain a broader outlook on other aspects of the Australian printing industry.
Aldus is represented at the meetings by various senior staff - Ian Guanaria, General Manager and Kevin Murphy Sales Manager in Sydney and in Melbourne Jon Murray, Sales Manager Southern Region and our newest recruit Chris Bodger (pictured). Chris joined us in 2006 from one of our major principals, Mark Andy UK. Being a qualified printer is a major advantage in a sales position and Chris is enjoying his new role in Australia and will benefit from meeting other GAMAA members and gaining a broader knowledge of the Australian industry as a whole.
Aldus has been a major manufacturer and supplier to the web printing and converting industry since 1949 and is looking forward to using PacPrint 2009 to celebrate its 60th Anniversary. Aldus is a regular exhibitor at both PrintEx and PacPrint and is one of only a handful of companies that has exhibited at every PacPrint since its inception.
