UPDATE

Spring 2006

INSPIRE*CREATE*INVEST

Welcome to the Spring 2006 edition of the GAMAA Update.

In this issue of the GAMAA Update there is a wrap up from the August workshop and a sneak peek at the 2007 programme which will be launched in November. We also give you an update on PrintEx07 and look forward to seeing everyone at the Retreat.

Logistics software and print management are amongst the growing sectors set to showcase the latest innovations at PrintEx07. The Show Board has reported a significant increase in print software and digital technology exhibitors, with wholesalers keen to take part in one of the printing industry’s leading events.

“Since 1999, PrintEx has proved a welcome addition to the printing and graphics industry calendar. By broadening our industry scope, we are able to further enhance the businesses of our visitors with complete printing and graphics solutions, as well as provide wholesalers with an enviable avenue to showcase their innovations,” said Grant Churchill, Chairman, PrintEx07.
Print software supplier CT Consulting, is one of many new exhibitors looking to take advantage of new business opportunities at PrintEx07.

“Companies from all over Australia come to see the latest in machinery and technology at PrintEx07. It provides an excellent environment for us to gain market exposure for both our company and software solutions,” said Stephen Leverington, Managing Director, CT Consulting.
“CT Consulting will be showcasing, Dolphin MIS 4.0, the latest MIS software for the printing industry. Offering an SQL database and the latest integration of Microsoft technology, the new version of Dolphin will run on either a Mac or PC and can be customised to suit any company’s needs,” said Leverington. Also on display will be DirectSmile Australia, set to show their innovations in image personalisation software. “Our latest software allows businesses to easily and efficiently design and produce image personalised direct mail pieces. DirectSmile offers unique design capabilities, powerful VDP document solutions and complete highspeed
print workflow for output on every digital press,” said Gordon Hodgkinson, Managing Director, DirectSmile Australia.

GAMAA LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

August Workshop Wrap Up....
Creative Leadership & Innovation Individuals from across the printing and graphics industries were given time to explore and experiment with new ideas around personal leadership at the GAMAA Leadership Workshop in Sydney earlier this month.

GAMAA Education Programme Manager Sam Crock described the workshop, ‘Creative Leadership and Innovation’, as intensive and challenging, once again pushing participants to achieve excellent results. “The workshop focused on exploring what a creative culture looks like and how as an industry we need to understand the imperative of innovation in the 21st century,”
said Ms. Crock. “This workshop was designed to help people develop strategies to think outside the square.”

“By bringing some of the leading minds in creative leadership and innovative thinking together, GAMAA provided the workshop participants with the chance to learn and develop innovative and practical solutions to these questions.”

COMMENTS FROM PARTICIPANTS:

"The personal development and growth attained though the GAMAA Leadership Workshops has increased personal value to my employer through being more effective as a leader and coach.," Matthew Collins - CPI Print Group.

"I have been involved in training and development for most of my adult life. The GAMAA workshops provide a calibre of facilitator rarely seen at usual courses. The content really complements my studies and the environment created to experience this is very safe, allowing us to explore the full implications of the dynamics available,"  Kelly Bourke - SOS Media
