Individuals from across the printing and graphics industries were given time to explore and experiment with new ideas around personal leadership at the GAMAA Leadership Workshop in Sydney earlier this month.

Once a male only dominion today the managerial ranks of the printing and graphic arts industry are populated with highly intelligent and aspirational women who are not afraid of a challenge and ready to face whatever is around the corner with brains and chutzpah.

Alastair Hadley President of the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) congratulated the latest scholarship graduates of the GAMAA Leadership Programme at the Association’s quarterly meeting held yesterday in Sydney.

The second GAMAA Leadership Workshop for 2006 will be held in Sydney 31 August to 2 September. The workshop, “Creative Leadership & Innovation” will once again blend GAMAA’s unique mix of leadership exploration, theatricality, personal coaching and self-awareness techniques to provide participants with a distinctive learning experience.

Karen Goldsmith, Manager of the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) was yesterday appointed to the role of Executive Director at the Association’s quarterly meeting held in Sydney.

President of the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA), Mr. Alastair Hadley expressed the Association’s support for the industry’s stance on the NAB’s new offshore stipulations.

Since its inception in 2002 the GAMAA Leadership Programme has developed into one of the most unique and highly regarded educational opportunities in the industry. Forming the heart of the GAMAA Leadership Programme is a 3-day residential workshop module held twice yearly and open to professionals working in printing, graphics and related disciplines.

Now in it’s fourth year, the GAMAA Leadership Programme welcomes three new scholars to the scholarship intake for 2006; Franca Balsamo, Senior Production and Graphic Arts Consultant, Canon Australia; Kelly Bourke, Sales Manager, SOS Print & Media Group; and Rodney Williams, Contract Services Manager – Westpac DigitalPrint Centre.

The Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) has announced that applications for the 2006 GAMAA Leadership Programme - Scholarships have now opened.

As part of its highly successful Leadership Education Programme, GAMAA (the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia) will conduct a residential workshop with the theme “Power and Influence” in Sydney in August.
