In Australia & New Zealand Canon’s product range includes production print solutions, digital compact cameras, digital SLRs, professional SLRs, lenses, single function & multi-function inkjet printers, laser printers, large format printers, multi-function devices, software solutions for offices, Canon Managed Document Services (Canon MDS), calculators, projectors, scanners, broadcast lenses and medical imaging products such as optical diagnosis equipment and portable digital x-ray devices.
Canon also operates Canon Finance which offers one-stop shopping for customers wanting leasing or finance services. Canon Finance facilitates funding solutions for many private and public organisations that span small to medium enterprise to global enterprise, across a broad spectrum of industries.
Canon has a local research and development facility – Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA) – in Sydney which develops and exports digital imaging technologies for use in Canon products worldwide. In 2010, Canon Inc. invested approximately 8.5% of global sales revenue in R&D annually worldwide and has ranked among the top-three US patent recipients* for 21 of the last 24 years (* Based on weekly patent counts issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2011).
